The Brisbane Scribes

 The group began in 2020 after two founding members, Jo Skinner and Jane Connolly compiled Stories from the Heart, an anthology of stories providing a social portrait of the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the lives of ordinary Australians. The Queensland Writer’s Centre distributed the anthology to its members at Christmas 2020 and the Queensland Museum will use it in a forthcoming COVID exhibition.
In 2022 the Scribes were invited to compile a social history of Camp Hill Healthcare to celebrate its seventy fifth anniversary. The book was launched in September of that year.
