Jo is a Brisbane based GP who writes contemporary women’s fiction as well as freelance non-fiction articles about women’s issues and mental health. She also has a distance running habit. When she is not working or writing you will find her accruing kilometres while plotting her next story.

Her flash fiction and short stories have been long listed, short listed, won a range of competitions and been published in anthologies. Her novel, ‘A World of Silence’ was longlisted in the Hawkeye manuscript development programme in 2022 and her novel ‘The Truth about My Daughter,’ placed second in 2023 and will be published in 2024. Her essays about a range of issues including domestic abuse and mental health have been published by MiNDFOOD, ‘The Big Issue,’ and ‘Medicine Today,’ and also appear on the Queensland Medical Women’s Society website.
